My wonderful little hooper!

On Thursday we were told about something going on in the Eyre Square Center for People in Need & that they needed performers. I rang & left my number because I thought well Nic would have fun walking around the center hula hooping. Little did I know what we were getting into.

The woman called back & started telling me what was going on. She told me she wanted someone who would do something a little different. As I said to her “You don’t get much different then my daughter!” She said she wanted her be there between 5 & 6. I said ok, still thinking it was going to be a simple thing. Little did I know.

Anyway, Nic went into school & then into Irish Dancing. I went down to pick her up. (On the way almost being killed by some idiot driver on her phone!) We had to come back & get her old hoops to make her “Giant” hoop & then in to town.

Nic was dressed up as Minnie Mouse. She looked great. So cute. We had about 20-30 minutes to work out a routine. She did it to “Jump” by Girls Aloud. Bad I know, but we didn’t have much of a choice. She set out her hoops & the DJ announced her.

Then the music started. She was brilliant. There were people standing all over the place watching her cheering & clapping. The whole balcony was packed. Nic really got into the swing of things very quickly.

She was having a great time. She went on then to one of her main routines, 13 hoops at once!

She went on then to the “Giant” hoop. People were going mad clapping. She was having a great time. The whole time she was being filmed for People in Need on RTE on the 26th of October this year. So everyone keep your eyes peeled! You never know you might find you know someone famous!

I hope for her she does get put on. For a 10 year old she worked quite hard. I was really amazingly proud of her. She was a great representation of The Galway Circus Project.

Thankfully there were more.

Disabled spaces.

Thankfully there were more, but what if there hadn’t been. This idiot wouldn’t have cared that my disabled mother who is in extreme pain has to walk. Why would they care! Not their problem.

Why isn’t there some why to make idiots like these see what they’re doing? You can’t say anything because you’re then either attacked or accused of some sort of road rage! They don’t care. It’s what they want to do so they will do it.

Today in Galway two 15 yr old girls were injured in a hit & run incident. It was on the 11 o’clock news this morning & other then that there was nothing! What I want to know is on the news they were looking for a woman in a people carrier 04/05 G. She lives not far away from me, I know who she is, she is an extremely dangerous driver but nothing is done about her. Now all of a sudden there is nothing more about this “hit & run” on any of the news bulletins! Why is this? Why is this person being protected by the Gardai?

Nicola isn’t feeling too good. :(

I HATE IT WHEN NICOLA IS SICK!!!!!!!!!

She is off sick this week with an asthma attack. I thought she might have been able to go back tomorrow, but she’s not. She’s still coughing really bad. The annoying thing is for a time she’s fine. You really wouldn’t think there was anything wrong with her, then she will get a bout of coughing! I had her to the doctor on Tuesday. She was sitting on the couch & all was fine, next thing I know she’s couching. She was getting up to come over to me & suddenly she is on the floor on all fours. She couldn’t get up & I couldn’t lift her up. She was too sore from coughing for me to lift her. All I could do is get down on the floor beside her talking to her, trying to get her to stop panicking!

It’s so frustrating when I can’t do anything to help her. I just don’t know what to do. Poor baby. We’re just hoping it’s not going to progress on to pneumonia again. She’s had that before & we don’t want her back there again.

Busy little people.

Am I the only one out there who has a child who is busy every day of the week. When I was a kid I know I didn’t have such a hectic social life! There is soon to be only 1 day that Nicola will have free day. Come the beginning of October this will be her itinerary:

Monday:  Kickboxing.

Tuesday:  Top 10 club.

Wednesday: Horse riding.

Thursday: Swimming & then Circus Project.

Fridays: Irish Dancing & Arty Marty.

Saturday: Free (for now!!!!!)

Sunday: Back Stage Academy (Possibly. Not decided yet.)

We still can’t decide about Back Stage. She wants to do modeling, & it would help her a lot there, but if she starts it we will be really tied down. She can’t miss the classes or she may loose her place & the classes run from 2 until 5 every Sunday. There is drama, dance & everything to do with acting which she loves. She is going for an open day tomorrow at 2 so we will see what it’s like. We’re still thinking about it. We’ll see.

Anyway on to my favourite subject:  Idiot drivers!

Today I part beside a beautiful sporty job. I just had to take a shot of it. As I too the shot, I noticed something very strange, there was an up-to-date tax disc, but there was no insurance or NCT on the car. What kind of idiot would have the holders up advertising no insurance or NCT? They are out there, it’s just unfortunate there are a lot of them in Galway!

Traffic!

Am I the only one who thinks they will let any idiot on the roads now-a-days? (They did give me a licence! )

I’m sick of going shopping & having to get a space a mile away from any other cars just so I could get into the car again or just to make sure some idiot doesn’t either slam a trolley or car door into my car. I had to leave Nicola to school this morning & then go pick up Anna. I couldn’t figure out why the whole place was at a stand still for a mile. I use small back roads so there isn’t much room to pass cars. It was only when I eventually rounded a corner I seen that some idiot had abandoned a people carrier like the one in the photo on the side of the road. Oh the hazard warning lights were on so that made it all ok. Thank God I wasn’t behind anything big. If I was I would have been stuck there.

The other thing I can’t get about drivers is this thing about abandoning cars in any empty piece of ground they can find with a “For Sale” sign on it. There is a Grotto at the bottom of the road where my parents live & no one can ever use it because of these selfish people! Why do they feel they are entitled to disrupt other peoples lives just because they are too cheap to put an add in the buy & sell?

A real blog! :D

I did have another blog, but for some reason people had to sign up to read it. So instead I said I’d give here a go. I’ve heard so many good things from people about WordPress so lets see!

Now, what do I want to say? Firstly I’ve never been good at keeping diary’s, so I’m not expecting too much of myself with this, but I’m going to give it a go anyway.

Ok, so a little something about me. I’m a 30 yr old mother of 1. I have a Northern fiancee who drives me insane… sometimes. I love photography. I am still at the point & shoot stage most of the time, but it hasn’t given me bad results. You can see some of my shots on:
